Being from Seattle, surrounded by mountains, forests and water, I am crazy about layers and depth, views and texture, contrast, shine and reflection.
I layer paint and texture over a course of time creating a mood and a background for each piece. The black lines against the background add another voice. These lines float between two layers of high gloss resin, giving my artwork additional depth and pop. I have recently begun to use large pieces of rusty metal as backgrounds for my black line drawings. I love the stories in the dents, worn paint and rust. Each piece gets a new life and a new home when I get to draw on it and I get to be part of the story too.
I am an observer, rememberer, exaggerator and storyteller. Welcome to my stories.
